Wishing everyone at the Yoga Sanctuary a Happy New Year 2021! In a year with so many challenges, I feel so grateful and blessed to have such a supportive community of students. I want to thank you all for how you have adapted to these strange times with our ZOOM SESSIONS LAST YEAR.

Please note that we will be continuing our zoom sessions starting week beginning Monday the 11th January 2021. Our Time table will be the same as before:

Mondays from 11.45 till 1.00 pm and Wednesdays from 7.00 till 8.15 pm @ £ 5.00 per session till we get back to our normal routine at the Yoga Sanctuary. If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. Will look forward to seeing you all again next week.

Beginners/Adaptable Yoga  Tuesday Evenings 6.15 - 7.30 pm. This course is aimed at people who genuinely want to commence yoga but may be worried about how to begin safely and gently. Suitable for absolute beginners. May have other symptoms and conditions e.g. depression, anxiety, headaches knee/hip/neck pain, high/low blood pressure. Specifically aimed at people who are generally less flexible or have ME, MS, CFS fibromyalgia, joint or mobility problems. It is a gentle course adapted to each learners need led by an experienced and well qualified tutor. Supportive equipment such as wall ropes, yoga chairs and specialist equipment are made available if required. Students learn various techniques to quiet an active mind and restore a good sleep pattern ie., meditation, breathing, postures, relaxation.

Janaki Mahadevan’s main aim is to give interested students the basic tools to work with and progress further in this rich and ancient Indo-European language.

Starting with the reading and writing of the alphabet and understanding the importance of pronunciation, she will lead students into gradually understanding the grammatical system.
